What's Happening... The hot items on the agenda these days are finishing up roadside mowing, cleaning up equipment, shipping corn and post spraying the soybeans when conditions are fit. La-Lyn Farms raises 100% ngmo soybeans which means that the selection of herbicides is limited and timeliness of application very important. We finished Planting corn except the cover crop ground on May 22, 2016. It took a full three days longer for our fields with cover crops to dry out. The experts said that it was because we didn't wait to spray and plant green. There is always a risk to whichever way you choose it seems and the weather does not always allow you to operate under ideal circumstances. We finished planting soybeans on May 24.
